Step 1: Seed Treatment.
A. Seed soaking at 1.5 grams/10 liters (0.015% = 150ppm) for 24 hrs. (In
case of tomato, 72 hours would be better than 24 hrs, Cabbage &
Squash-48hrs, Potatoes-12hrs)
B. For grain seed treatment it is sprayed with seed mixing prior to
planting at 15 grams/10 liters (0.15% = 1500ppm). It can be treated one
tone seeds with 50L solution.
C. Seedlings (Young Plant) and Grafting: Soaking of 1/3 of length into
20grams/10 liters (0.2%=2000ppm) solution with the temperature +20C.Step 2: Watering/Irrigation.
A. Standard Concentration: 1.5grams/10 liters (0.015% = 150ppm) are O.K.
However, 2grams/10 liters (0.02% = 200ppm) would be the optimum level in
soil.Depending on the Plant Group:
- 3 - 4 times a growing season with 0.01% solution.
- After planting with 0.01% solution
- After appearance of 4 leaves with 0.01% solution
- In the beginning of blossom period with 0.01% solution
- 2-3 times during ripening period
- 8 times a season (in 10-12 days) 0.005% - 0.01% solution
B. On row & broadacre field crops, use the quantity and solution as 1.8-pounds/acre/65
gallon (=2.0Kg/Ha/600L, 0.3%=3000ppm). Should be used two times at early
spring pre-plant (1Kg/Ha) and after harvest (1Kg/Ha). Pre-plant for high
value crops up to 10 kg. /Ha. For watering plant, use 1.5grams/10 liters
during growth at every 10-12 days (3-4times), but can provide benefit to
the crop
C. On orchard crop, Use 4.5 Kg/Ha with same concentration as B
(0.3%=3000ppm) in late fall or early spring. For watering plant, use
1.5grams/10 liters during growth at every 10-12 days (3-4times), but can
provide benefit to the crop.
Step 3: Foliar Spraying.
A. Concentration: 1.5grams/20 liters (0.005-0.075% = 50-75ppm), Less than
0.005% would be useless.
B. Recommendation: Use every 15-20 days.
Others:
A. When planting Young trees add 5-10 grams per hole mixing well with soil.
B. Excess bioactive humate has stunting effect.
The information above are guidelines, you may need to develop your own method of including humisolve in your cropping or feeding program. The basic concept here is that Humic acids must be in an optimum concentration to work best less than recommened is a mistake as is more than is recommened. Humic molecules clump hence a concentrated solution has a hard time getting into the leaves, or roots as it has to pass a cell membrane/wall and only lower molecular weight humic acids (fulvic acids) can pass and only when the solution is at the right dilution to prevent clumping on the cell membrane. Feeding livestock
Dairy cows should be fed 3 gm. per animal per day for increased milk production
feed 4 gms. for increase in milk and butter fat production. This is combined in concentrate ration.
For pigs and beef cattle mix .5-1% humisolve in concentrate /grain rations.
sheep feeding
mix 10% humisolve with loose stock salt and provide free choice.
Aquaculture
maintain 75 PPM in open pond (natural dirt bank ponds) keep adding to maintain at 75 ppm. a sample can be used to compare to water in ponds or tanks. In rations replace 1% of ration with humisolve.
